Type 2 Solutions sponsors the Benchmarking OR Congress
On Friday, October 11, 2024, the Benchmarking OR Congress will take place at UMC Utrecht from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Type 2 Solutions will be there!
“For 20 years, the NFU Benchmarking OR initiative has been about learning from each other. At this congress, we will present what we have achieved and explore how the strength of this collaboration can prepare our healthcare system for the future“, says Lieke Horenberg, Program Manager of Benchmarking OR.
Benchmarking OR utilizes the T2S Data Migration Platform and the Data Quality Monitor to manage the benchmark database.
About Benchmarking OR
Benchmarking OR is a cooperation between operating rooms (ORs) of the seven university hospitals (UMCs) in the Netherlands, and the Dutch Federation of University Medical Centers (NFU).
The UMCs aim to learn from each other and to improve overall management of the ORs.
Extensive database
Data from the OR management systems of all UMCs is stored in a collective database every 3 months, which currently contains more than one million records!
As of 2019, Type 2 Solutions manages the Benchmarking OK data.
Partnership with T2S
Data from the different UMCs is sent to Type2Solutions (T2S) which is then validated, and corrected if necessary, before being loaded into the benchmark database.
To accomplish this, T2S uses the Data Migration Platform and the Data Quality Monitor.
A manual for measuring efficiency was specially written for the Benchmarking OK project to be able to compare productivity and efficiency in the ORs.
The UMCs use this manual for correct registration of the data, T2S use it for validating the data and loading it into the database.
The data is accessible for members of the core group of Benchmarking OK.
